Best Trip EVER

Hello all, I just got back from the best 6 day Amsterdam trip EVER! Meeting Jeff and Jamilla and once again working with Jojo and David was a blast that we are all mourning the termination of this trip!!

One of the best things about Amsterdam is their French fries. They are
fried to perfection and served in a paper cone with whatever toppings
you want. Last night I had garlic mayo and ketchup... The perfect
after-bar food!

Jet Lag...

Yes I know you're thinking I've been home for two weeks but I just can't get my sleep back to the right schedule! Working a 6 day Amsterdam the day after I got home from China didn't help. It's 2:25am and I'm wide awake. My alarms are set for 3:20am for work (I have a 6am departure) but there no use in tossing and turning for another hour when I could be blogging!

This weekend was fun, I went to a f/a get-together on Fri night and went out with friends on Saturday night. I even squeezed in a workout yesterday afternoon.

Ahhh

It's nice to just hang out and do nothing every now and then...

I'm back!

Just landed in Boston after 24 hours of flying! I'm very happy to be home and I had the BEST trip! Helping Sara get her new baby was one of the most special things I could ever be a part of.

Day 3 Beijing

We started at a Jade factory. Wow those guys sure are talented!

Then it was on to the Great Wall of China! It was raining pretty good, thanks Sara for packing rain ponchos!!

OK, we started out at 5:30am this morning from CDA! Everyone is in good spirits and looking forward to the journey today.


Ahh here we are relaxing in the airline club in Portland, OR before our 11 hour flight to Tokyo. Don't mom and Sara look chipper?

Well, in 12 hours I'll be on a plane for China to get my sister's baby!!!

Today is my husband's 35th Birthday!!!!!

February Update

Hello all, sorry for the lack of updates, I've been very busy this month working and now that my days off are coming up I'm getting a cold!! I've been popping Airborne and drinking lots of water and juice to try and stave it off so we'll see how it works out.

Ryan is on the left coast visiting his family out there. His mom has been walking on crutches for a while because of her knee, so hopefully he can help her out with things that need to be done around her house while he's there. The 29th is his Grandma Brown's 80th birthday, I hope to get the time off to go out there for her party... at least Ryan will be there.

January Update

I've just come back from a fun little 2 day to visit my sisters Sara, Lexi, and Ari. It helps that Lexi's little Thomas is sooo cute and that Ari's Jackson is turning into a little man! I got to stay with Sara in her new house and it's really nice. Very warm and homely. I only wish I could have stayed longer but I had to rush back to Boston to sit on reserve. hahahaha. Nothing else really to report. I haven't flown on reserve this month yet... just a trip to Phoenix I picked up on my days off.

Ahhh 2008. Shouldn't we be flying around in hover cars and living on Mars by now?

I spent New Years Eve in Philadelphia. We got in around noon so my crewmate Joanna and I decided to walk around a little bit. We saw the Liberty Bell, but there was a big crack in it... someone should really fix that. After we walked around a little bit more we headed back to the hotel and had dinner with the rest of the crew. We had an early pick up the next morning so we didn't get to see any fireworks but we sure heard all of the hoopla at midnight!

Ahhh my lovely sister has resorted to this to get me to update.

Here are the rules:

1. I love Christmas and get swept away in the hustle and bustle

2. I have been kkown to go crazy shopping for loved ones during previously mentioned hustle and bustle.

3. When I was a kid, Christmas was one of the few days of the year I wasn't grounded.

4. My favorite present from Santa was the Optimus Prime Transformer I got when I was 8 or 9.

5. I LOVE EGG NOG which is wierd because of my dairy issues .

6. The Carpenters Christmas Album is the best Christmas album of ALL TIME. Barbara Streisand's is a close second.

7. I love my fake tree and even spray it with Christmas tree spray so it smells real.

8. Patty and John's...nuff said.

9. My dad used to eat all of the candy from our stockings so my sisters and I would have to hide it in our rooms. He would find it there too.

10. Emmet Otter's Jugband Christmas is a holiday staple.

11. I HATE that you can't say "Merry Christmas" to people anymore. "Happy Holidays" just doesn't do it for me.

12. I've been lucky enough to have the best present ever for quite a few years in a row now... a caring husband who loves me through thick and thin (waistlines).
